The funny thing is that Peer has been one of the most vocal opponents of Israeli policy. She is firmly in the Palestinian camp, yet her being Jewish and Israeli bans her from the games. She also had to dropout of the Australian Open over this... The Aussies said they did not want to politicize the Open so they told her not to show up. How is that NOT politicizing the game?
