You can get a little trailer and use that for a work truck.

Hattie, I have the perfect car for you.

1990 Silver Spur..... Friend is selling it super cheap.

Hatterasguy 03-17-2009 11:11 PM

Thats right down the street from where I work. I have seen that car around, it probably has rust since its driven year round. Those are the brick condo's off Melba street in the background. Last year I tried to buy the white house in the 2nd picture; thats right above the Mustangs roof in the background. I thought it had a building lot, and it would have if a freaken pool hadn't been put there are recorded down at city hall. Further right there are two commercial parcels I wanted but are to big for me, two big developers got them, one local one out of Boston. A few streets over are some interesting properties I won't talk about.:D

I'd love to buy another Mercedes but until my student loans are paid off, and I have a few bucks saved for a house, and I build and sell a few houses its not happening.:D

The time frame depends on the economy, but its probably going to be 3-5 years, if not longer...

Fulcrum525 03-17-2009 11:16 PM

So then....hows the Golf these days?

Hatterasguy 03-17-2009 11:18 PM

Pretty good Oxford Greens is having some killer weekday deals. I didn't play much last year, but this year I'm looking forward to playing a bit. I need to get to the driving range.

I need to work on my swing, maybe I'll get some leasons.

Wrong thread there buddy :P

Hatterasguy 03-17-2009 11:23 PM

Ahh your talking about the car.;)

Its a POS, and I have gotten pulled over 3 times with that POS in so many months. All for stuff that I wouldn't have gotten bothered for in the MB. The cops must think I'm a bum. Can't wait to dump it.

OTOH it gets 30mpg +/- on cheap 87 octane, so I can drive for a week on $15 worth of gas. I'm loving that!:D

Fulcrum525 03-17-2009 11:28 PM

How soon till the pick up truck? I know you were looking at one a few weeks ago... (And if you know where that SEC is/know the owner, set up a test drive for me, I wouldn't mind taking a look)

Hatterasguy 03-18-2009 12:03 AM

July, after I close on the house were starting in a few weeks.

I don't think I know the owner, set up your own test drive what do I like like a secretary?:D

How do you get pulled over 3 times just because you're driving a Golf? There's a zillion golf's out there.....

Yeah, he's on the cops radar now. 3 times pulled over in the VW was it;)

Hatterasguy 03-18-2009 11:23 AM

Tell me about it. They just like to pick on POS cars in nice areas because they think there bums. I havn't gotten a ticket yet, one was a detective too!

How are they on pick-up trucks running through nice areas?

Cops brain-"He's either on contractor or he's on the way to empty someone elses house of their belongings...he's young, must be option two, go for it."

Hatterasguy 03-18-2009 11:40 AM

An old truck yes, but not a shiney new one. Lots of people drive trucks, the F150 has been the number one selling vehical for years.

PaulC 03-18-2009 11:41 AM

You better play it safe and just get an Aston Martin...

Hatterasguy 03-18-2009 11:42 AM

If I had Justin's money I would.:D

How many sheets of plywood do you think I could strap to the roof?

PaulC 03-19-2009 06:07 PM

If I had Justin's money, I'd throw mine away...

iwrock 03-19-2009 06:10 PM

Hatterasguy 03-19-2009 09:02 PM

Fulcrum525 03-19-2009 09:09 PM

iwrock 03-19-2009 09:14 PM

See.... He loves it.

I think it fits his personality perfectly.

Now, how do I fire the stingers hidden behind the headlights?

From what I know of the one that I drove....its in a stupid hard to find place and once you actually find it there's a fricken delay from when you hit the button to when it actually decides to do what you told it to do.....not a good thing to have happen when your out hunting gunships....I mean VW's;)

Hatterasguy 03-19-2009 09:25 PM

Does it come with a gun rack option?

I guess I could shoot a deer and strap it to the trunk.:D

The trunk is actually pretty big but the opening is a bit small....just make sure you stuff it in there before it goes stiff and you'll be fine.

Hatterasguy 03-19-2009 09:45 PM

That would be a good weekend car than! I could stick the fly rod holders to the hood and roof, throw the rifles in the back, throw a few cases of beer in the trunk, hitch up the ATV and be ready for a long weekend in the woods.:D

True but it has its limitations...like ground clearance...this would be the ultimate camping car/truck....
