which one is best: patio Help

Hello friends,
I want to make patio cove for my home.
I am confused between fabric patio and plastic patio.
cab any one tell me which one is the best options for making patio.

I select either fabric patio or plastic patio cover.
I heard that plastic make noise during the rainfall. is it true?

How big is the patio?
North or south side of the house?
Where do you live?
All pertinent factors.

Interesting to note...the ZERO post count, indicating he hasn't made a query on any of the other MB forums.

Who joins a Mercedes site to ask about patio covers...which I guess translates to "awnings"?!!!
