I built my Biodiesel processor stand out of 2x4's with lap joints and wood glue.. No screws and it held 55 gallons of veggie oil plus the equipment.

Gorilla Glue is pretty good stuff.

Freshman year we had a full size carboard boat race, where the only building materials were tape and cardboard. We used Gorilla Tape, and our boat didnt sink.

I'll second that.

Our daughters school (she’s in the 6th grade) had cardboard boat races this year.
We donated the tape for her team.
Told them to build the boat with the Gorilla Tape and to cover it with the cheap stuff.
Theirs didn’t sink either. In fact, I think one of the other girls took it home to their pool and beat on it for a few days before the cheap stuff leaked and the cardboard failed.
Awesome stuff.

As for the Gorilla Glue. Make sure to moisten the wood as directed. When dry, the wood will fail long before the glue joint.

Have any of you ever tried the prank where you glue a penny to the ground and wait for someone to try and pick it up?

All the glues I have tried didnt bond that well.... You think Gorilla Glue will work?

It is good stuff but I tend to buy PL-400 in the big tube. Serious glue!

Oh yeah, NOTHING will replace the screw

If you have enough time for it to set, you won't be able to get the coin off the pavement with PL-400. And don't use pennies, no one picks those up anymore

I know I've glued a few joints on the skiffs (bearding lines, knees, guards, skeg shoes) with it that will probably out last me.

At least I hope so.

I used it for the first time to glue some plastic parts back on the dash of my VW. I was surprised to find out how much it expands! Now I need to chip the excess off.

Works good on plastic.

I hope so too otherwise YOUR failure may come about 20 minutes after it's failure!
