My lasted Volvo 242 Turbo

Long story on this one. Once upon a time four years ago, I first saw this car. I left a note on the winshield asking to buy it if the owner ever wanted to sell. At that time, I had my black 244 TI. I never got a call back on the car. However one day, I ran into the owner in traffic and asked him if he wanted to sell. I'm presistant! He said eventually, but not yet. A year went buy I sold my 244 and it was sold again. Latter that year I was in traffic and I saw this person driving my old car. We pulled over and chatted and he said that he had always wanted that 244. He then went futher on to say that he was thinking of selling the 242. Well He did but it just took him two years to sell it to me. I now have it!

Ive always like the look of those cars. How much did you pay? Do they hide the fuses and relays behind the ashtrays on that model.

Niiice! nl, how many bricks are you down to now? I know you said you got rid of some in some other post. Big fan of the 240. Got a set of Virgos on my 245DL. Perfect rim for the 240.

Btw, nice buy story.

No sir. All the fuses are on the driver side behind a panel. Relays are under the dash. 240's use old school fuses such as these

Is that a 242 tic? or is it non intercooled. I believe it should have the b21ft. Kjet is ok on these cars. I am so glad im not the only one on this board who enjoys Volvo 240's
Here is my 88.

I have three. I did not end up selling any cars. I have four cars...I must be insane. Just got this running today. I installed a engine harness this weekend, and it still would not start. I also had to install a fuel pump. It runs pretty good, but the front end is going to need some work.

Always worried about buying an older brick due to the wiring harness flaking apart.
