Oh no! We are number 1 !!

A study listed below ranked states in terms of individual freedoms vs state regulations.

Guess which state was listed as #1 in terms of regulations?
Why, it's the People's Democratic Socialist Republic of Michigan. :(

The study is here: http://www.statepolicyindex.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/freedom-in-the-50-states-an-index-of-personal-and-economic-freedom-by-ruger-and-sorens.pdf

Done by two profs at George Mason University. How they did the assessment is also listed for those who wish to litigate, advocate and bloviate :D

Unfortunately, the People's Democratic Socialist Independent Oblast and Collective of Ann Arbor was not listed separately. :(

In protest, they will probably boycott soy products (if there are any) shipped from Virginia, where GMU is located

CT is ranked pretty low, not surprising.

New Hampshire is ranked 1 in personal freedom but its a freaky state, most people who live their are hiding from someone or the IRS.:D

I thought Nevada would do better. The regulation of the schools is something I hadn't given much thought to, since I don't have kids.

The more I hear about Texas, the more I want to move there.

Yankees are ruining Texas. They move there for a job and then set about destroying the reason why the state has jobs while they work to turn it into another marvel of social liberalism.

Michigan actually came in pretty high coming in 14th overall New York is the worst state followed by NJ, Maryland and for some reason Maine...

Geez, Even WV came in low at number 33. Looks like I will have to move to South Dakota or NH

TX sucks. The labor laws here are non-existent. They can screw you nine ways till Monday and you can't do a damn thing about it.

Plus most of the natives talk funny.:D

If you're going to rag on it til your dying day, might as well spell it right:

Berkeley; aka 'the cause of all misery on the planet.'
