N. Korea is not unpredictable. They are xenophobes. And I think it is not much of a guess that they'll sell what they have.

North Korea does not have the MONEY to spend on these things. Maybe the PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC should try to feed their citizens before building ballistic missiles. That is what I am trying to say.

North Korea is very predictable in the way that they will now stick a warhead on this rocket and try to blackmail the rest of the world into paying them to dismantle it. Then in a couple years they will put it back together anyway and sell it to Iran...

What is unpredictable is whether or not Dear Leader will fire the damn thing at Japan for a demonstration...

Idiots.................

This is a MISSILE DEFENSE SYSTEM. It it not pointing missiles at Russia. It is primarily to shoot down missiles coming from Iran and to protect our NATO allies. W even offered to extend the coverage to Russia.
The idea that this is an act of aggression is ludicrous. The Poles want this system as do the Czechs. Yanking it out from under then after all they went through to prepare for it reeks of cutting and running...

The only ones against this are the Russians, not because it is a threat to them, but because they do not want to see the USA playing in the former Warsaw Pact countries. Remember how they were dead set against Poland joining NATO?

I think we are going to need all the missile shields we can build once the PDRK and Iran have three stage capability.

^ I'm sure the Russians will take your claims that the missles station in Poland are pointed at Iran. Poland and Iran have been at each other's throats for years, in fact, I was thinking of the terrible carnage of the last Irano-Polish War just the other day.

I see Obama is threatening to go to the UN Security Council if N Korea goes ahead with it's missile launch, and China has apparently said it won't block that move. If these reports are true, this could be a bit of a coup for the president. It'll be interesting to see unfold. I'm not a big O fan, but I hope he can pull it off.

North Korea would stop if China says cut it out.

I hope Dear Leader does fire the thing at China, that would be fantastic. China could than send a few hundred divisions over the river and the NK problem is solved.

If China wanted it, China would've taken it. History is pretty clear that China doesn't need provocation to invade.

I'm surprised China has been so quite, Korea is there back yard they have always been involved. I almost think they are pushing them on. They would stop of China told them to.

I don't think this is crisis level. Georgia was barely crisis level.

I guess we all have a definition of what we mean by international crisis. To me, the economy doesn't rise to the level of international economic crisis, though Dubyuh's administration and Obama's are both dead certain it is. Oh well, I was wrong before. I'll be wrong again. What I'm getting at I guess is that an international crisis needn't be a shooting war.

Actually considering the current situation, N. Korea is a better option than Pakistan, what the world should worry about is Pakistan getting this capability via N. Korea and guess what, Talliban finally has the entire earth by their balls.

Although it is not germane to the discussion, I get along well with all my neighbors. They get along with me. The real point is delusional zenophobes getting missiles from which they can launch nuclear warheads that can reach our coastline. Also, worrisome is the fact that said country funds its projects by selling war technology to nut case countries like Iran. Pretty easy to understand why the US should be concerned, and the world in general also.

Do you know who else sells war technology to Iran.
And sold it to Iraq, before the current war.
And the zenophobe comment.
Where are we wanting to build a fence ???

If you think this missile/satellite launch is a bigger crisis than the global economic meltdown, I think you need help.
