Reefer madness

Anybody care to comment on Salvia divinorum? It came along after my youthful spelunking into the mind.

Funny, I just looked at that page earlier today. I was spurred by a headline on Yahoo (but I didn't read the Yahoo article).

Seems like a pretty interesting substance, I'm many years past my experimental days also, but this one's got me curious. I like that it appears fairly benign and that the effects only last a few minutes. I don't think I'll go looking for it, but I'd be likely to give it a try if some found it's way in my direction.

I wonder how long before the first carload of teens pulls in looking for Salvia by the pound (not unlike the morning glory tea craze a few years ago)?

Botnst - we will be reviewing your post

Effects

Uncontrollable laughter
Past memories, such as revisiting places from childhood memory
Sensations of motion, or being pulled or twisted by forces
Visions of membranes, films and various two-dimensional surfaces
Merging with or becoming objects
Overlapping realities, such as the perception of being in several locations at once

not that fun. was like a bad mix of marijuana and mushrooms that lasted a very short period. there's a head shop / tobacco pipe shop in downtown ithaca that sold it to anyone over 18. don't know if they do anymore.

however, there is a pretty funny video online of someone smoking it and trying to work in his garden. very bizarre.....http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1817320. Don't know if it's real or not but very entertaining.

I used to smoke with my friends about five years ago. I since quit and they have not. We have a video of my friend tripping out on salvia and let me tell you it was scary. Its freakin hilarious now, but when it was happening, we didnt know what to do. We thought my friend finally smoked himself stupid.

Shortly after high school, a big bunch of us went camping. One guy brought along some silly sybin mushrooms, which he and 2 or 3 others ate one day.
One guy got more weird than just about any tripper I ever watched. He was "at Woodstock" learning all about the "meaning of life, and all things existential" from , IIRC, Bob Dylan, Jack Keroac, Hunter Thompson, and several other similar cultural hero's of the time.

When he got naked and started ranting at the occasional vehicle passing by on the mountain road, we all became pretty concerned. NOT a pleasant evening.

Looks like the buzz doesn't last very long, so it's like cat-nip for humans.
