Red face OK, post songs you'e ashamed to admit you like...

So I got to thinking on the way to work this morning about songs that I like that don't actually fit into my normal range. I'm typically pretty much of a rocker with a good dose of techno mixed in but here's a couple catchy ones that I like as well.

I'm sure they'll generate a substantial quantity of teasing (especially the second one) but here goes...

Madonna:

Back Street Boys:

Catchy right?

Not sure I have ever admitted this to anyone...

But it may lend some clues about my predilection for M-B cars of the 70s...

Starland Vocal Band's first album from the mid-70s. For some reason, the radio stations always played the goofiest song, "Afternoon Delight", but the rest of that album had stuff on it that I kind of liked back then. I haven't heard it about 25 years, so I don't know how well it has held up.

Since some of you are really laying in on the line,

Fine Young Cannibals-Drive Me Crazy

CMC Music Factory
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b714Wi4CDsQ&feature=related

I think they are ingrained in my head thanks to a guy who lived down the hall from me at UConn and cranked this stuff all the time. Yet I despise dance/club music.

And yes, the Safety Dance is one of those that I'll be singing to myself for the rest of the day. Thanks.

Oh Hell yes! MJ ruled the '80's! Beat It just rocks! Also, the "Moonwalker" video that Smooth Criminal comes from is pretty interesting to.

"Smooth Criminal" is a good one. Alien Ant Farm did a cool version of it a few years ago.
