Dream Cars

I like my Benzes, and I liked the cars that preceded them* but sometimes I wish I had certain other cars. Lately, I've been doing some long highway runs from Carson City to San Diego and back, and I've been wishing I had something that would run triple digits through the deserts while cornering hard in the mountains. It's made a 450 SEL 6.9, a 560 SEL, or at least a 4.6 powered Crown Vic (or related Panther) almost a dream car of mine. I'm still lusting after a '69 Hemi Road Runner 4 spd (green). What are some of the cars you don't own but wish you did?

*(In order of ownership) '73 Chrysler Newport, '72 Mercury Montego, '63 Dodge Dart, '86 Lincoln Town Car, '88 Suzuki Samurai.

My dream car... a 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 5spd with the black DMC side stripe and black interior. And a 1971 all stock 'Cuda.

There are a bunch of others but not as much as these.

or a black on black Countach.

lol seriously. Mine then would have translated to:

A 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 also in the low 1000's vin, new rims from DMCH, 5 speed, gas flap hood, side black DMC stripe and the stage two engine upgrade from DMC of California.

Also, when I visited DMC of California last year I sat in one of their customers cars who is tall like me, they cut the drivers seat foam in half so you sink in more. I sat in it and it was literally perfect, 100% visibility out of the windshield and I fit perfectly. I almost wanted to drive through the gate and steal it. I was in heaven over there and they even had a perfect working replica of the time machine which was awesome. Even an engine which they were in process of gold plating AND a DeLorean with 500,000 miles on the clock )) AND the guy who works there Don Steger worked as a certified mechanic at the DMC dealerships back when!

That DeLorean I sat in too, the guy was 19 and it was his dailey driver, he worked at Disneyland and his parents bought him the car as a gift... ugh lucky guy

GT40 new or old or a 427 cobra, kit OK. If I had too, I would settle for a Pantera
