International bribery -- Frontline tonight: Black Money
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/blackmoney/
Sounds like it might be good. I heard an interview with the producer on the local NPR station. Word to the wise though - he's a U Cal Berkeley professor so it's an even bet that this is really a vehicle for subliminal indoctrination into a sort of 'Stalin youth' cabal. |
Probably not subliminal. Berkly is not known for subtlety.

You've spent time here? Please enlighten me. Clearly I'm in the dark. All I know is that them Code Pink ladies come from here. Or so they say.
And once more, oh sir from the great state of Louisiana: it's spelled Berkeley. Or is that Leesyanna, I'm not too good with these things. |

Go fer it dude. None can escape your powerful "punking" ray.
Berkeley: we're here because we care. The country needs a convenient bogeyman/whipping boy to salve its wounded pride. |
A gift that keeps on giving.
|
I'll watch it CMAC but promise to tell me one thing, where do the Berkeley hippies live? I've always wondered how they manage to survive with the high cost of living, some people tell me that they are not really poor hippies and many of them are trustafarians, they may save some money no using deodorant or soap but thats still a long shot from paying the rent.

There are some parts of West Berkeley, aka the flatlands, that are semi low rent but nothing is cheap around here. It's actually the sweetest little burg in the Bay Area for my money, I mean, unless you're in the 7 figure range. Piedmont has great schools -- bring $money$. But those pricey burgs don't have Berkeley's charm, its one of kind cafes and coffee shops. |

You find it all the time among the diehard hawks, the guys who do that ramrod straight salute thingy, with arm slightly tremblin' from the sheer muscularity of the event. Oh the pride, the serious, serious pride. |
Watched the show. Pretty good job of circumstantial investigation ("circumstantial" is not a pejorative, despite Perry Mason). Investigation of multinationals that are at least in part protected by a foreign country is especially complex. Bandar is right about one thing, dishonesty is as old as man.
|
Yuh beat me to it! Starts in about a half hour here.
Good point on Bandar. We can perhaps move to a better degree of honesty but, like the poor, this chit going to always be with us. |
there's gambling in casablanca?
 |
Where and to whom did the 2 Billion dollars sent to D.C.go?
The Cheneymonster? Barbara Bush's High Functioning Moronic Son?
