Looks like an indian car company is going to be #1...

Overpriced........:toilet:

iwrock 04-08-2009 12:43 AM

Oh dear....

I still kinda want one, just to drive up and down my drive way to remind me how good my car feels.

Actros617 04-08-2009 01:08 AM

It gives a suprising 51.1 mpg...

Some very positive reviews from the automotive press, time will tell though.

Utter garbage that makes the Yugo look like a S600.

Actros617 04-08-2009 10:55 AM

It suprisngly passed euro crash test, it's better than those cheep china made car...and it EPA approved, I think it's a car that anyone can afford...

Gurkha 04-08-2009 11:03 AM

Thats the point, its a twin using minimal parts to make it cheap to run as well and the body panels and bumpers are designed to be replaced cheap. Its just basic mode of transportation and surprisingly spacious for its size.

I guess if everybody else is running cars like these then running into cars like these would not be as bad as running into a truck.

TX76513 04-08-2009 11:10 AM

If it came with a 52" mow deck, I'd take one.

Skippy 04-08-2009 11:16 AM

I don't think I'd buy one, but I love the concept. I take it India doesn't have the same kind of used car market we have in the United States, where you can buy a perfectly serviceable used car for under a grand and where you can pick up a running beater for free if you prowl Craigslist long enough.

I wonder what Model T's would sell for new if they were still making them.

A VW Lupo can get 75-80Mpg, is a diesel, and is built well, in Germany.

I'll take a Lupo.

awsrock 04-08-2009 12:56 PM

I'm sure for India, and other countries similar it will be a hit.

Here? Never. Unless we adopt that kind of driving style...

I love in the comments all these people who are saying "finally! What the people want" I don't know about that (in the US, that is)

What do you expect for $2500? That'll only buy you a new #22 head for a 603!! :D

Actros617 04-08-2009 02:46 PM

They said they will come out with a diesel too, i wonder what's the mpg for that and 0-60 time, and also hybird, eletrict, compressed air, india is really stepping up for a developing country...

aklim 04-08-2009 05:58 PM

Tatas for $2500 is pretty good.
