I got my MPG!!
...and not with a Toyota. Or even a diesel.
Here's my new daily driver. I've gone about 150 miles so far on 1/4 tank. O_O 1998 C230. It's in great shape, with 136k miles. Payed $4200 for it. A good deal I think. :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...1/IMG_6070.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...1/IMG_6071.jpg |
When was the "lifetime" trans fluid and filter serviced last?
|
Cool! I like the UPRA sitting next to it too!
|
No idea on the trans fluid.
And thanks for the compliment on the Supra. That's my other baby. ^_^ |
Looks great. W202 C230s are great cars.
Are you gonna sell your 560SEL? The friend I brought to the GTG last Saturday is interested in it. |
YYYAAAAWWWWWZZZAAAAAAAAAA. nice car and congrats.
|
Wow nice car! Way better MPG's than my 300E gets! :D I get to about 75 miles @ 3/4 tank if I am gentle on the throttle. If I get on it that can shrivel to 45-50 miles. :dizzy2:
My 300SD can get about 180 by the 3/4 mark if I am ultra light on the throttle. :D :D |
I already sold my 560SEL...in fact, it sold the first day I listed it up for sale! :O
And thanks for the compliments, guys! I am going to clean it up a bit and take come better pictures. :) |

Here are a few more pics I just took. Yes, it's weird going from a boat to a compact sedan, but I couldn't be happier! I wasn't happy with my W126. I loved my 300SEL, and thought the 560SEL would be the same, but even better. I was wrong.
Everything about the C class is better, except for the rear passenger leg room. :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...hena_benz1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0_interior.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...230_engine.jpg |
Somebody didn't consult the W126 buyers guide.:(
|
Actually...I did consult it after I bought my SEC, (before I bought the SEL) and the only problem it had was the rear suspension leveling system was leaky. It was still a steal of a deal despite that problem.
Jim B actually drove my car around at the last GTG in Sylmar, and he said he was impressed with it. It really was a fine example of a W126, but I just didn't like it. Yes, I am very fickle. :P Plus, the gas mileage was killing me. |
Green coolant!!!
