Couple of days from now, the youtube video of it's 'discovery' will be topping the charts.

You need to be able to rip it off quickly to read from it...
The guy probably stuck it on a different ATM each day.

2 ways thats supposed to work, either they binocular you or record you putting in your number. If you cover your keypad hand with your other hand you are safe. I wonder if the guy saw it being discovered? luckily he wasnt armed and waiting. I think I would have called from the car

Someone who gets your credit card/debit card info and pin to have a shopping spree on you

I have seen much better designs of this ones with cameras mounted and readers mounted on it. That was kinda of lame

Hmm seems like another reason never to use one.

The tellers are the bank I use all recognize and know me, so if someone tried to take money out of my account it wouldn't work.

yeah i had a credit/debit card and someone got a hold of my info and had a little shopping spree on me but luckly I check my bank account regualry and noticed something was wrong and reported it to the bank and canceled the account. I now only deal in cash or go inside the bank to pull money out. I dont have a credit or debit card anymore.

You're not stuck in a time warp are you?

A card skimmer is a device that fits over the reader on a normal ATM where it accepts your bank card.....it records the magnetic stripe info (card # and info) as you take/give your card....then said scammer can take the device and load the information off of it.

It sure would work.....by the time they get the number they can restripe a dummy card and use it at multiple atms pulling a few hundred dollars here and there wearing hoodies and then by then they're gone.

Yes but they wouldn't have my pin, even I don't know my pin!

Just for fun today I tried to use an ATM, I didn't have a card but I had my credit card with a bank that lets you use it as the same thing. What a PITA, OMFG screw that. I gave up after the third attempt at trying to remember my pin and just paid in cash. I have to remember a ****en code for everything these days, I don't need another.

No thanks, when I need cash I'll just go inside the bank, fill out a slip and withdraw what I need. This new stuff just makes things complicated!
