Talking Worse than crack!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avtxp6nqMsw&feature=related

I'm far from over the Mercedes addiction, withdrawl is a PIA. Ever since I parted with the SDL back in Feb. Today I spotted a little old while 1964 190D... Must resist temptation! I even started to figure out where I could keep it...

I was doing well for awhile...until I spent a week driving my uncles E350 down in FL, and my friends E300D. So enjoyable, unlike in the VW I actualy drove slower because I was enjoying the ride so much. The silver star was where God intended it to be at the end of the hood, and I was surrounded by a proper leather interior insted of cheap molded plastic.

With a bit of luck the market will get better so I can feed my addiction! I don't need much, just a 300SEL 4.5, that will hold me over, I'll even settle for the I6! Honest!

Maybe an AMG'd W126 or a 500E...500E's are very sensable cars...but than again the W126 in all its forms is so nice, how can you go wrong...

I almost had a CrackCedes moment today, I saw a mint condition black 300SEL with not a dent on it, great tan leather & airbag, sitting in a valet lot at a formal function. I was about to write a note asking if it's for sale and slip the valet guy some money to give the note to the owners That 300SEL was so nice, but three cars and 2 Mercedes would be extreme...

In 12 months I just might buy the first pretty thing with a star on its hood that comes by, at this point any model would be good.

But an SL600 would be fantastic!

I remember laying on the couch in my girl friend's apartment in the late 1990's and watching that commercial. It was a couple years later, but the very next car I bought was a Mercedes.

IMHO, Hatt.

On the classics, stick with the turbodiesel (slightly modified), a stickshift model, or a V8 with a greater capacity than 3.8 liters.

I would like to have a nice Pagoda SL to tool around with if I could afford it (although my personal experience with them is limited). This is Mercedes of course. For not much more I could get into a Porsche 930, and boy would that be sweet!

I think its time to get over it with me.

The incident with Trigger has left me pretty disenchanted with DIY'ing. If I sell them all, except for Ol' Turbo and Zippy, and trade in the Rubicon, I could get a newer E350-E320 wagon.

Yeah but you'd be at it again as soon as a nice 300TD showed up on the market. Just admit it.

Hatty needs to get another MB, a bouncy plastic pickup just doesn't cut it.

Today I drove 160 miles in our W124....ah, it was so relaxing and nice. It was smooth as silk when I took it to 120mph for a little bit. Amazing. And I still got 19.8 mpg!

Yeah I'll get another one eventualy. Can't drive the work truck all the time, more so once I fill it up with tools that people love to steal.

Maybe when my uncle gets rid of his E350 in a couple of years we can work a deal.
