I got my MPG!!

...and not with a Toyota. Or even a diesel.

Here's my new daily driver. I've gone about 150 miles so far on 1/4 tank. O_O

1998 C230. It's in great shape, with 136k miles. Payed $4200 for it. A good deal I think.

No idea on the trans fluid.

And thanks for the compliment on the Supra. That's my other baby. ^_^

Looks great. W202 C230s are great cars.

Are you gonna sell your 560SEL? The friend I brought to the GTG last Saturday is interested in it.

Wow nice car! Way better MPG's than my 300E gets! I get to about 75 miles @ 3/4 tank if I am gentle on the throttle. If I get on it that can shrivel to 45-50 miles.

My 300SD can get about 180 by the 3/4 mark if I am ultra light on the throttle.

Isn't it kinda weird feeling going from a huge W126 to a C class? I even have a hard time adjusting to an E-class....I prefer my W126....

Here are a few more pics I just took. Yes, it's weird going from a boat to a compact sedan, but I couldn't be happier! I wasn't happy with my W126. I loved my 300SEL, and thought the 560SEL would be the same, but even better. I was wrong.

Everything about the C class is better, except for the rear passenger leg room.

Somebody didn't consult the W126 buyers guide.

Actually...I did consult it after I bought my SEC, (before I bought the SEL) and the only problem it had was the rear suspension leveling system was leaky. It was still a steal of a deal despite that problem.

Jim B actually drove my car around at the last GTG in Sylmar, and he said he was impressed with it. It really was a fine example of a W126, but I just didn't like it. Yes, I am very fickle. Plus, the gas mileage was killing me.
