If she is 1st generation and her dad is still alive and you're not Chinese (or perhaps a well established Doctor, investment banker, or can verify financial holdings) ....better learn how to outrun a standard issue 12" hooked clever.

I know what you are talking about! My girlfriend was direct from Hong Kong back in the 1980's I learned lots of great Chinese words like SeiGwailo , BakGwei and others when her father found out about me. He also locked her in her room...

Now she was a fun person to be around and man could she cook...

I also dated a Korean girl. She was much different. Much more shy but I learned to love kimchi

I've dated Vietnamese, Korean, but not Chinese. They are all basically the same, it depends on what region they are from...kinda like saying all American women are the same, when they are different from North to the South...

I found my Cantonese gf much more outgoing and bold than my Korean gf. I also have a dear friend, almost a sister, who is Japanese born and raised. She is very different than either of the others. She is a combination of very self deprecating and yet she can speak up for herself if she has to. My other 'sister' is from Manila and boy if I were single, I would be heading to the Philipenes! The girls are very cute, smart, have great attitudes and can speak good English-- a plus 'cause my Tagalog stinks. she is teaching me some though.

American women are vastly more homogeneous than comparing Asian people from country to country. Ask them and there's no way you could get a Korean to say Japanese are the same and or have Japanese say Chinese are the same and every which way inbetween.

I meant all women are the same...it just depends on how and where they were raised.
