Sending her a card will make her feel like a SOS for treating you the way she did...

What better way to say "Hey! Despite what you did to me, I'm still going strong and I'm still OK!"

And if you really want it to sting, throw in some flowers...if anything, it will, at least, make the flourists happy!

I dunno...I've never been a fan of "Hallmark Holidays". Do something spontaneous for your Mom instead. Send her flowers or a card when she isn't expecting it. Or just give her a call out of the blue to say hello and ask how she is doing. That'll mean way more than caving into the pressure on the second Sunday in May.

Oh snap! Mother's Day/Birthday/Anniversary for the Mrs. all within a 3 day span this year. I didn't forget per se but just realized it's this weekend. Gotta get scramblin'!

We do the Race in the Park (CT Breast Health Initiative) every Mother's Day -thankfully they have a walking class!- in memory of my late MIL and in honor of a family friend and for one of our employees. It's always kind of a bittersweet stretch of days for my wife. Definitely don't want to forget to cover myself for each one of them!

uh, my mom's been gone for three years.

(not to be a wet blanket..)

on the other hand, she was kind of a nut and drove me crazy when i was a kid.

Mother's Day is easy to remember because most everyone around you has a mother/wife who is a mother and talks about it.

Now if you could only remind us all about birthdays and anniversaries.

Couldn't decide which thread to use, this one or last years. Seems like lately the old threads have been sprouting like springtime. Figured the one with the correct date would be best.

I get Mom, Wife and Daughters together and go to the local greenhouse/nursery and buy flowers for the flower beds, then plant them when we get home. Good simple way to do something nice for all the important girls in my life.
