Someday...

Sorry, this probably a bit off the topic for this forum, but I couldn't help it...

Though it's way out my league now, I someday hope to drive this one - the S550 is my dream ride - I think it has some of the fines styling and an intense 'elegance':

This is my dream car - what's yours?! Hehe -

James

I need to sell a lot more houses to get one of those. Eventualy though I'll get my new S class, and another every few years.

I want the V12 though...have to have the 12.

About the only two things that distinguish that vehicle from a Nissan Maxima are the price and the V12. I can forego the V12 and save myself about $130K...........thank you very much.

Even the W140 looks better than that vehicle.

Try it and then report back to me

I don't doubt the magnetic attraction of the chassis and drivetrain...........especially when brand new.

It's the indistinguishable styling that I find appalling.

I'm quite sure I could get the same chassis and drivetrain performance for $80K less than the cost of that vehicle, provided that I don't need the star on the hood.

I can sorta see where your coming from with the exterior....but I don't think I would ever get the two confused, even from a distance. What I dislike the most on the new S-Class are the flat door panels with seats that are just....

BORING. I'd rather sit in the back of my 18 year old S-Class.

Well my friends 1995 S600 is a pretty amazing car, and its in perfect shape. So insted of paying $130k for a new S600, you could just drop $15k on something like that and have 95% of the driving experiance, with better looks.

Yep.........but, I'd get a '99.

And, even if you had to drop $10K to get it into shape...........it's still a bargain when compared to the new S600.

Lately I've been thinking about the '69 Chevy Caprice.
