The Lincoln Continental engine line up in the Sixties looked like this:
430 "M(ercury)E(dsel)L(incoln)" engine was used 1961-1965 462 "MEL" engine was used 1966-partway into 1968 model year 460 engine (from 385 or "Lima" engine family) was installed in the 1968 Continentals (replacing the 462) around the same time that the Mark III coupe was placed into production. |

As of today there is a 6.9 for sale on Dallas Craigslist. It needs a lot of work but the asking price is less than $4000.
It is also a Euro model with the lights and bumpers and Euro A/C controls. |
