I dont know. Seems to me that if the Israeli supreme court exonerated him they should give it a rest.

If this person is innocent and it looks like that is the case based on the eyewitness in Israel, then Mr Demjanjuk should go free. Maybe the best thing would be for him to go on trial and expose the ill treatment he has been getting for the past 30 years.
I hope this is the case. If he really is a concentration camp guard, then he deserves to be punished. Germany has no death penalty so he would be looking at spending the rest of his life behind bars. In my opinion, anybody who worked at these camps should be given the same treatment - gassed and burned-

It's not the Israelis going after him this time, it's the Germans.

Not the first time Buchanan has been involved in defending Demjanjuk:

Buchanan initially defended Demjanjuk on entirely different grounds; that diesel engine fumes he was alleged to have used couldn't kill. He now defends him on grounds that he wasn't there.

Someone should just cap him quietly one night and be done with it....

The current case against Demjanjuk is not related to Treblinka. It is claimed he was a guard at Sobibor.

I found this Wiki article pretty informative on the guy, while what he was actually doing is up for conjecture, the man was a definitely a member of the SS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Demjanjuk He has a scar right where the ID tattoo goes, something one might be able to explain away as coincidental, but damn hard to explain away given all the other evidence that points his way as well. The guy is SS. While Waffen SS combat veterens might deserve some mercy, General SS personnel should be exterminated, the same fate they wished on the Jews. Let the Germans figure out what flavor he is, and let them deal with it. Last edited by JollyRoger; 05-12-2009 at 03:06 PM. |

I say let Germany deal with him. One way, or the other, justice will finally be served.

According to an appeals court decision in 1998, the government acted recklessly and withheld exculpatory evidence in its case against Demjanjuk and his citizenship was restored. Germany isn't his homeland.
