See ya!

Leaving for Jo-burg tomorrow. May have a chance to check in, may not. Either way, we'll be back later in the month.

Toodles~!

Seriously, lovely bride is attending meetings here and I'm the Sherpa. When the meetings are done, we take a few days and see Cape Town before returning.

My friggin' camera just had a disk error and ate allmost my pics from the walking tour of downtown Joburg and Soweto. Damn...maybe I can recover them after I get home.

Leaving for Cape Town this Sunday morning on the Shosholoza Meyl, Tourist Class coupe (roomette for two). Neat.

W123 update

Only two W123s seen so far: one nice-looking, gold 123 sedan in Soweto...couldn't tell what if it was gas or diesel. The other, a pea-soup green sedan with the round Euro headlights like I have on my wagon. Couldn't determine gas or diesel on that one either.

As far as VW Combis, I've spent the last couple of days zooming all over the countryside in one...the hills are pretty steep around Joburg and that little unit runs out of steam pretty fast on a hill.

Here's a pic of it when we were at the Lion park (some lions too):
