BTW, UPS Ground works to Hawaii and the packages don't get wet. USPS Priority, especially the flat rate envelopes and boxes, trumps UPS and FedEx most of the time out here.

That could be true...I don't ship ground that often...when I ship, I usually have to go Next/2nd Day...ground VERY rarely...
