There were some morons following the truck weaving all over the place and throough the debris.

Deciding there would be no way I could get past him safely, I pulled over for fifteen minutes to put a gap between me and the truck. Later on I saw him pulled over at a Burger King with about the last six feet of block missing from his load.
I had a similar thing happen to me, but it was a dump truck spraying dirt and rocks all over the place from a 1/2 opened chute. I swear these guys get off on doing this...

My brother in law's dad was working at a construction site. Someone left behind a nice long aluminum ladder but he had no way to tie it to the top of his VW Beetle to get it home. That didn't stop him. He laid it down on the road, drove over it, picked it up, tied it to the back and front bumpers and drove home with it underneath his car. No big dips in the road apparently.

The thing I find even more incredible than the extremely unsafe loading, is the never ending stream of drivers who will tailgate these scary looking loads. The local HD is right off the highway, and the guy with half a dozen sheets of plywood on the roof of his Escort, as he is trying to get up to 70 mph, has a line of people vying for the prime tailgating spot.

Its like when I was doing a dump run the other day and had my truck pretty loaded. I had a pallet on top of it all that wasn't to secure so I was going slow down very quite back streets. On the service road to the dump...which no normal person should be on unless they are going to the dump and or power plant... Some bimbo in a Ford SUV was riding me, I was like if it falls off I'm not stopping and your screwed.

Their morons, SOP is you sweep off the back end of the truck after dumping. Call them in, the DOT will nail them.

I have moved some insane loads (Recently 3 drums, two dressers, a bed, grill, two bikes, 15 paper boxes filled with junk, a punching bag, and a spar tire-all tied neatly onto the 7x11 trailer behind my trusty w123)

Before I leave I always test each strap by trying to rip it off the trailer...If it holds through that, it would be alright on the road

I was driving up the freeway one day and came upon an guy who forgot to tie down his boat on the trailer and it slid off the back, this boat had a small cabin and an outboard motor before it slid off at 65mph. Tooth picks thats all that was left.
I worked in a lumber yard and there was a lady that would come in every Saturday and buy 10 sacks of concrete and put them in the back of her 66 Mustang.

My uncle and I needed to get a bunch of concrete, he drives a '96 cavalier.....we put 8 sacks in the trunk and one up front with me. The car felt REAL heavy but drove on home (8 miles) without issue. So total concrete weight was about 800lbs....+ 2 adults....probably close to 1150-1200lbs in the car. Pretty impressive!

I have filled the trunk of my W126 most of the way with paver stones.....it was sitting REAL low in back, but drove home just fine. Felt truly like a tank! I was probably nearing 700+ lbs in the trunk.
