I love the show but I think they would be much better chance of winning the battle if they hired the Shadow Force guys.

Shadow Force is some kinda show. One episode had them in, I forget, one of the African countries trying to deal with illegal logging/charcoal manuf. Sobering stuff. Trying to make progress in that climate is a tall order.

How come whaling ships carry guns and grenades to defend themselves from smelly hippies but cargo ships are defensless?

The hippies attack the ship with fouling devices, stink bombs and some compound that makes the deck very slippery which is activated by water. The also board ships attempting to makes arrests and sometimes vandalize the whaling ships. If they had some normal people they could do much more damage instead of overturning the chase boats, damaging the helicopter eating tofu and singing koom bye ah.

Cool so all they have to do to defend themselves is launch bars of soap and lysol. that oughta scare em off!

If you threw a stink bomb at me you could sure that I would through something much worse back at you....

As far as hippies go they are a bit over the top, two of them boarded a ship and were taken prisoner to prompt an international incident and disrupt operations. My guess regarding the odor is the rotting whale carcass's cover the hippie smell if thats possible.

I do like these guys though they are willing to put themselves in harms way for a cause they believe in unlike other hippies that show their activism via bumper stickers.

If you look at the side of the ship they are dragging a whale, personally I think there is no longer a need for whaling and the Japanese are exploiting a legal loophole and should stop. I hope the hippies win the war.

Yep, what uses are their these days for whale parts anyway? Its not like we need whale oil to light our lamps.
