Hooking MacBook upto Stereo

Friends,

What's the easiest way? Merely for playing audio, e.g. Pandora, iTunes etc.

It's an older Hafler pre-amp, so isn't an A/V system.

TIA!

Mac book should have an 1/8" output which can be used. Get an 1/8" phono plug to rca adapter or cable, then plug it into CD or Tape input on the Hafler.

I found a cable that cmb mentioned, but I'm leaving right now to the Apple Store. Forgot about that place, thank MM.

Got it hooked up. It only works with iTunes, but I downloaded an app (AirFoil) that allows you to use a web-browser to stream. Audio quality suffers some however.

Glad it's working. I use the same set up from my iphone for walk-in music at shows. Keeps people from pestering me about playing their band's disc

Sorry dude, no CD player, Ipod only.........
