Pay deducted...I was not informed.

Guess what I just found out? The 'error' in last weeks pay check was actually a pay cut that I was not informed about. This will be my 3rd cut since the **** hit the fan.

So what do you think, give the department of labor a call?

Quit......then open your own company. That's what I did.....why work for a paycheck where someone else decides for you what they pay you? -That's ridiculous IME.

Not everyone has the resources to just "quit" and start their own company. Especially in an economy like this....that could lead to disaster. You have to have customers first!

I'd just be thankful to have a job!

Man, it's a shame you can't get the hell out of there. BS after BS after BS.

I'm not sure you'll get much out of the DoL with layoffs, pay cuts and business closings galore.

Thats my worry they probably wouldn't even care.

This is supposedly only going to be for a month and a half at the most...but i've heard that before. The 1st cut was only supposed to last for 6 months, the 2nd but was only supposed to last for 4 months......that last one was almost a year ago....

Well, that has it's merits too. However, as an employer who is an ex-employee, I also realize that you do give up something when you are an employer. Either way, you are dipping into a bucket of crap. Question is which flavor you like better. Now, in my own company, I have to keep track of things I never bothered with. Used to be, when I clocked out (literally and metaphorically) that was it. Now, I have to take work home with me. Sometimes, over the weekend, I am also thinking about work when I didn't before.

The correct answer is not to work hard at all. Every task that takes you 4 hours should take you 12 now. You've done your due diligence (and more), and your reward is hardly that. If they cut you loose, collect unemployment. This is hardly the climate to go leaping out there with nothing in hand. Take it from someone who was pushed.
I'm normally a high road guy, but in this case the only people you do favors for taking the high road is them. At your expense.
They need to learn that less pay= less effort.

Sage advice... if you want to get fired tomorrow.
"Less effort" likely becomes "no job" in today's environment.
Or so it seems to me.

That's fine. He'll get to collect unemployment. There's no sense in working just as hard and finding less and less pay.

A friend of mine often states "They pretend to pay me and I pretend to work!"
