Understatement - Craigslist car that says it "Needs some work"

http://richmond.craigslist.org/cto/1217471605.html

Why misrepresent then add pictures?

Love how he list the steering wheel controls as a positive feature when it is bent backwards.

it annoys the ***** out of me when someone quotes the MSRP on a salvage titled, totaled car. who looks at that MSRP and says "whoa! what a bargain, i'll pay cash!"

Same thing applies in the antique car market. Someone finds a rusted out hulk of a desireable car, looks at its value in #1 condition and thinks they should get 1/2 of that number. No concept of the time and money involved to get it there, but if they sell for a dollar less, some uninformed relative will tell them they got ripped off.
Even worse is the guy who slaps a $100 paint job over the old rust so it really shines, and wants top dollar. Anyone buying the car first has to undo what the last guy did and start over, so the paint job was a waste.

If they can do it to an SR-71 then they can do it to a BMW

"The SR-71C was a hybrid aircraft composed of the rear fuselage of the first YF-12A (S/N 60-6934) and the forward fuselage from a SR-71 static test unit. This Blackbird was seemingly not quite straight and had a yaw at supersonic speeds.[54] It was nicknamed "The Bastard". The YF-12 had been wrecked in a 1966 landing accident."

Around here they call that a front clip Can you imagine how much time it would take to put a FC on a 7 series? (correctly)

Too funny. Aluminum chassis is a gonner. BMW wouldn't allow repairing that car.

I'm supposed to be banned from CL, but here is a funny one in my area.

http://wichita.craigslist.org/cto/1213634478.html

"If you need to ask a ton of questions, this is not the car for you. "

He really expects someone not to ask questions about the car? I think we all should email him with 20 questions each.
