I gotta clean this box up

anyway, this computer is so slow that I didn't see this posting area before I started going to the tech guys (probably pissed them off) nevertheless, anyway...anyone ever heard of Koenigsegg? They make cars I reckon...and they are rescuing SAAB from the dire clutch of GM...I say outstanding but I have never in my life heard of Koenigsegg. Check out the website, they appear to be the Swedish version of McClaren or Lotus, beyond Ferrari and Porsch......I never heard of them....

This firm makes the fastest production vehicle in the world. They have been around in a variety of forms for at least 15-20 years, possibly longer. They are made up of very wealthy car enthusiasts and financiers who deal ONLY in ULTRA wealthy, ultra high-speed cars.

For example, they have this idea to cross Europe from North to South by car in five hours or less but they keep having problems getting permission from various countriues to drive at 275 kph in certain countries, or there's no reasonably straight path to take.

I have personally only seen one in my life in Munich.

They easily make a Ferrari look like a Rambler.

150 years ago, they would have been the proprietors of thoroughbred horses to the kings of Europe, and no one else. That's how exclusive they like to be.

Being owned by them will be different for Saab, but better than plastic interiors with the Sponge Bob option a la GM

Oh yeah they have been around for awhile. They are a little super car company that makes some wild stuff.

They used to make the fastest "production" car in the world, until we took it back.

I have been busy and havn't looked into any details of the deal yet, if they are even released. But I would love to know where they are getting the money to fund Saab. Koenigsegg isn't exactly the kind of company that can throw a few billion around like GM was.

well, as I have owned many SAABS over the years, like 7 different ones, all pre-GM I am pleased to see this....This is exactly what the economy needs...a little kick start....this makes me happy.....what these cats should do is, drag the blue prints out of the basement for the mid 1980s
900 2-door body and upgrade the damn thing to 2010 mechanical standards and sell it again..I swear to God...that SAAB 900 2-door, ...whatever; I think it is the best looking car ever. You could put that car out today and people would still buy it.....there is absolutely nothing else on the road that looks like a 1987 SAAB 900T...nothing...you could sell it today as if you were peddling Abbey Road by the Beatles on the roadside in 1969 ....fresh...just upgrade the mechanicals and electricals to 2010 standards, but...keep the same body...this thing would sell like 40 going north...I hope that this is what Koenigsegg will do...
However, as this is a Mercedes site...sorry......next time no SAAB from me....
