I would say that 99% of all "Work from home" ads are scams. And the few that are legitimate always exaggerate how much you can potentially make.
The best work from home jobs are the types where your working in an office environment already and management makes the decision to have some people work from home thus saving office space.

Most, if not all, of these deposit-money things are scams. I, too, receive this junk, all from foreign countries. This one is written better than most I've seen, but its subtle English mistakes are a dead give-away. Plus, trusting a total stranger in a different country to manage your proceeds - when it's not becessary to begin with - is ludicrous. Of course, this is a SCAM.

Any offer comming from hotmail or gmail email address/account raises a red flag right off the bat.

Scam artists always target what is most frightening to the largest group possible. If you're going out to fish, wouldn't you cast your net where the biggest schools tend to congregate?
Right now the bait is economic distress and job loss. Give it a few months, they'll target something else.

If I didn't call them, then whoever is calling me is a scammer...
If I didn't order anything, and it shows up in my mailbox, it's free... If I don't recognize the person or the item in the subject column, it's trashed... Few rules to live by...but effective...

Unless it also shows up on your credit card bill - then you've been had.
