This One Stumps Me: NYC Prep

Kids today don’t watch enough television.

That becomes evident minutes into Bravo’s latest reality show, “NYC Prep.” Anybody who has watched even one episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” knows better than to invite Bravo’s cameras into the bedroom and favorite sushi restaurants.
....
Kelli, a 16-year-old would-be singer who lives with her 18-year-old brother in New York (their parents live in the Hamptons and drop in from time to time),
....

Anybody here think an 18 year old boy is a proper custodian for a 16 year old girl, with all the money they both need, in NYC?

Will this give other parents the license to do the same thing?

I guess the parents decided it was inconvenient to raise their kids.

I haven't watched the show.

Yep, sounds pretty stupid. I can only imagine how these kids will turn out.

There was at least one stand out

Camille, 17, has her mind set on Harvard, not hookups, and she mists up with joy when she reads her SAT scores — on her phone. “If I don’t get into Harvard,” she says, “I’ll be really upset.”

At least this one is actually applying herself and actually trying to get a good education...even if she isn't paying for it but at least its a start.

I find all those "reality drama" or just "reality" based shows to be unforgiveably stupid.

Wife has tended to a mother who was 14 yo. What's the difference? We are having kids raising kids today.
