The only thing I can think is the ego that drives you to be that kind of talent also allows you feel that you can't (or don't) need to deal with the day to day issues that the rest of us do...it always catches up with these
clowns....always. How come Mick Jagger or Sting or Paul McCartney or

Exactly-
Can someone tell me why I should give a damn that he died?

Because they are strong and Jackson was weak.

I don't know what Jackson did to those kids, but it doesn't sound pretty. He and the parents who entrusted their kids to him bear responsibility for any harm he did, but it's no surprise that he came out with a few loose screws when you consider his bizarre childhood.

parents notice mega RICH star is interested in their little Johnnie. parents "entrust" little Johnnie to spend time with Michael. Parents line up powerful lawyers to bring action against mega RICH star accusing Michael of anything and everything. Out of court settlement delivers up MEGA BUX to "entrusting" parents. Unfortunately, Michael couldn't see the parents were taking advantage of his interest in young children.

question: who are the real abusers in this scenario?

The bad thing is, we the unwilling will be assailed with MJ's pop music tripe spewing from every viable radio station, while pundits will mourn his passing and his "genius"... BS, he was an entertainer, a singer, a dancer. What did he do that will make the world better or more advanced? If somebody says the moonwalk, I am certain my head will explode....

On the other hand, Darrell "Shifty" Powers died this week, a man who helped save the world from evil. But since he wasn't a freakshow or pedaphile, the world just rushed right past his death......The world is upside down...

Exactly. For all we know Michael just wanted to give a bunch of kids a fun time. He had a bad childhood himself, maybe he wanted to make the childhood of other kids better.

No-one can deny that Jackson was a much admired entertainer, and one of the most influential artists of all time, however his legacy will be that he will be remembered not as a singer, but more as a fiddler.

When Michael Jackson grabbed his chest and said "Ow!", who was to know?

Crowds are gathering outside the hospital where he died. Not to pay their respects, but to see if a body is going to dangled out a window.

Causes of his cardiac arrest are unconfirmed, but autopsy reports have ruled out the sunshine, moonlight, and the good times, but they are blaming it on the boogie

Mourners have been enquiring about the dress code for MJs funeral. Apparently it doesnt matter if its black or white.

Personally, i dont get all the emotion about MJs death.....i guess he never touched me when i was younger.

artistically, here is one for the record books. notice the way he builds dramatic tension. his dancing was in a word, amazing. listen to Billy Jean with the bass pushed a notch or two on a good stereo system, incredible.

I've never been a follower of the cult of celebrity, but I do enjoy the works of many artists.

Michael Jackson was a uniquely gifted, brilliant, true genius of a musician, the equal of which will not be seen again any time soon.

If it’s possible to find peace in death I hope he does.

I see Michael Jackson as more than a freakshow and pedophile. He dominated pop music like few people ever dominate anything. Whether you like pop music is one thing, but Jackson was a remarkable guy whose passing is worth noting, IMHO.

Otherwise, I think that you are right on the money. The world is upside down.

due to the fact that his childhood was taken from him, he may have been trying to create a second childhood. and, it appears there is a good chance that he may have developed a closer relationship with the children than was appropriate. in light of that, what kind of a parent allows their child to spend the night with a man whose intent may be questionable? answer: a parent looking to dig up a little "gold" for hip national bank, that's who.

that's my definition of real child abuse.

I really wasn't struck by the sadness of it all until I watched a collage of his various videos shown on MSNBC, starting at the beginning of his career - from the Jackson Five up to his "Thriller" album, I couldn't help but be struck by the fact it was one work of genius and immense talent after another, and then it is obvious the world-wide fame and international success of "Thiller" drove this man insane, after that point it was a descent into hell. His last appearance, a few days ago, in announcing his comeback tour, to me, showed a severely mentally ill man. In a way, I am glad for him that his suffering is over.
