I've seen blingmobiles that have looked better then this. I honestly think we may have a new contender for the worst Mercedes ever.

vipercrazy 06-25-2009 10:23 PM

Thankfully the engine is still original...with the exception of some of the worst wireing that I have ever seen anywhere.

It's a BABE car!!!!! A little respect, please :P

Big Apple to Big Easy - buy a cheapo clunker (2008 limit was $250, upped it to $500 for 2009) and join a caravan of certifiable lunatics on a road trip from New York to New Orleans.

Jingle Benz was one of many decorated entrants. Last year, Darling Wife and I helped prep Barb & Louis' entrant.

I proudly present The Thunder Fox:

We haven't been able to make the run ourselves, but it is most definitely on the calendar for '10.

www.baberally.com (entirely work safe, though you just might go insane looking at the cars).

Now that's interesting. There's a highschoolish/college aged girl in town that used to have her car (Geo Prism maybe?) painted with zebra stripes and a bunch of animals painted on it but it's been marine critter related for a year or so now. That might explain it!

So what's the idea of the passenger front seat being reversed? Are they trying to do a Benz version of the famous 2CV where two front wheel driver power trains were installed on front frames and the two front frames welded together? Why do the seats like that??

PLUS: Those rims really are bad. Really bad...

whaddaya think? 20 grand that could have been BETTER used to save a few cars from the crusher? :(

I will say that first picture gave me a good laugh. And reminded me of a certain "pink barbie car" so I tried to see what would happen if I looked that up...

(WARNING?!)
Bling bling, much?

A freakin' barbie car...well...it's pink....

AND then an ACTUAL Barbie Car...that poor VW...

That first picture is exactly why I steered us away from the "DUB" section at the auto show. As for the Barbie Car don't forget the lovely assortment of colors that Dodge had on display....

I am amazed at the shots I got with only a few seconds before your camera would shut off on me. Under less pressure, I'd have gotten less blurry stuff! Extra batteries next time. Even though it was sorta last minute...

Those definitely were quite "interesting" though. Quite colorful. Were they trying to appeal to a specific audience or something? It grabbed my attention...and then made me want to never buy any of them.

haha the fact that it's a Dodge was enough to put me off of them. Remember we drove a Chrysler product on Friday....(No offense to Swampie :o)

I think this paint job certainly caught your attention ;)

oh, thats HOT!

Chrysler has some hot hot colors!

Fulcrum525 04-11-2010 02:23 PM

I think Land Rover had some of the best paint jobs of the show actually. I think this one might have been that special paint that sorta changes colors depending on lighting (I forgot what it's called)

http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/5448/ss850973.jpg

Drezell 04-11-2010 03:46 PM

Yeah...the coloring was interesting on that. Still...silver wins.

That picture of the Range Rover is embarrassing... I want a redo with a camera that has full charged batteries!

Also...maybe less people around so I actually have room to take pictures.

THE PRESSURE! IT BURNS! :ukliam3:

Oh dear she's found the smiles button.... but yes it was difficult getting pictures at times (As you said...people being oblivious to others taking pictures) Jaguar painted all of it's cars matching silver which was a nice touch (Audi did the same thing in white)

The Dodge cars with the odd colors might be an attempt to bring back the 60's or early 70's. I remember they had a lot of odd colors then and advertised them heavly.

I don't recall all the names, but the Purple car color was called Plum Crazy. There was also Panther Pink and Tor Red.

The BABE rally is one of those things that should be a mandatory pre-30 activity, along with the 24hrs of Lemons.
