Lol....that lasted what.....4ish months?

I'd be glad to fly down and take it off your hands if you want to give it away to a good home.

I'll never get bored with the W126, I've had one for 6 years now and its awesome every time I drive it! Same for the W124, I've been driving it exclusively lately, and its nimbleness and speed is addictive.....way more sporty than the o'l diesel. Still prefer the diesel though. Gassers just aren't the same.

You need to get something with more rust. Rust everywhere. It keeps you busy.

I was thinking more along the humane society system. Unwanted car, loving, caring home open to taking it on. No money involved.

I second the above comment, come up here and find a nice rusty car and have some fun fixing it!

You know how unrealistic that is. Multiple vehicles is the way to go, I'd be bored stiff with just OT and the SL, plus buying low and selling high pays for the hobby. Heck, I've averaged so well I may make a living at it after I get the stupid, worthless piece of paper this year.

I do recall you have a space issue, though, and a viscous HOA. You could also get a 40-50 hour a week job and do school (that was my life for 3 years), burn yourself out, work part time and travel the country with a 3 pointed star leading the way. Its not a bad life.

Sounds like you need a TurboWedge. It's enough fun I leave the 300cd in the garage most of the time.

To cure boredom I would buy a Triumph Tr-7 or Maserati Bi-Turbo, any 70's-80's car from Italy. Good luck!

lol.. I'm looking at a Golf TDI... and space is an issue so if one comes, ones got to go, plus I dont like paying for insurance on a car I'd drive every now and then. Right now I'm a one car guy and cant figure out a job that will give me 40 hours a week and work with my class schedule.

I'm really wanting a TDI any kind except a bug.. those just dont go well with me. There is a '98 for sale that I came across on CL that I am interested in and its in my price range lol

TDIs are great cars, but having driven one, I don't really see how it would be less boring than an SDL ... unless you get a stick, of course. I guess a Golf would be a lot more nimble, but my sister's automatic Jetta isn't any more "fun" than my 300D. It's a great car, a nice drive and gets great mileage, but it wouldn't really be the car I'd recommend to cure SDL "boredom." Although I guess the size might be an issue ... my 124 is quite a bit smaller and more athletic than a 126, so maybe TDI-124 comparison isn't the same as TDI-126 comparison.

unfornately going to school full time and working 40 hours a week wont happen. finish school, do a part time job then progress to a full time job
