Who is trying to legislate government run health care ??

This is the kind of bullshies, lies, and fear mongering that the talking heads give out
for consumption by the masses.

There is not a shread of truth to what you have said.

Nobody is trying to start " government run healthcare " , and no one is trying to rip apart the health system.

Quit listening to the talking megaphone heads.

And research a little for yourself.

I remember a US Senator calling protesting, " The highest form of patriotism". I also remember another US Congressperson who praised the " speaking of truth to power".
Our local Senator is requiring RSVPs for his town hall meeting. The feeling is that Union members, and selected persons will get the majority of the sanctioned seats. Its simply a way to "handle" the protests he doesn't want to hear.
It would be nice to hear some real, open debate on the national stage--where honest questions rec'd honest answers, and people could decide. As it is, there is too much spin, and managing of the news to allow any real real information to get out there.
As it is, we are just talking ( or rather shouting) past each other.
I believe that decent is one of the highest forms of patriotism.

But this manufactured, canned, eaten, and reguritated protesting is the worst case of lemmings folowing the leader I have seen for a while.

The talking heads at Faux news tell people something has to be done.
People do something.
Faux news is magically there with cameras in front of the protesters.
Faux news plays the video over and over and over.
More people go protest in front of cameras.
Repeat add infinitium.

Marching to the tune of fear mongering, and bullshiest from the talking heads.
Paid for by advertising revenue brought in by the lemmings whatching Faux.
And sponsored by the insurance companies.

Really really bone ignorant !!!

You sure are quick to dismiss all the protests because of a reported tie to some executive. Sounds like a leap of faith to me.
Again, you can believe whatever you choose to believe, but it sounds to me like you are disrespecting any opposition to what you want to happen.
That is not the way of a democratic republic. It is the way an authoritarian regeime runs a government.

Unfortunately thats exactly what the protesters are doing at these town hall meetings, too and thats causing everyone to dismiss them for being crazy or planted, organized, etc.

Uh, did you pay attention during the Clinton years?

Just about anyone who knew too much or was on the verge of indictment surrounding the Clinton's ended up dead.

Exactly my point---the repubs abused the power, and it cost them right in the old ballot box.
That should serve as a dramatic warning NOT to act in that way.
Go ahead, you dems have the power ( for now) go ahead and abuse it, silence your critics, dismiss any opposition, ram through your legislation. You will own it--for good or ill.
If it turns out badly, you will look foolish for not heeding any of the opposition arguments, and the people will reject all democrat candidates. And the pendulum will continue to swing.

OTOH, rising above partisan power politics would give the democrat party a chance to show real statesmanship, and leadership, and true bipartisan legislation that is better than either party would implement on their own. Rather than point to republican misleadership as a means to excuse your own misleadership, try to rise above the fray.

I expect this plea will fall on deaf ears. but the country deserves the chance this advice would offer.

I would not be suprized in the least if the one's hanging effigy's of lawmakers and performing other heinous acts were planted there from radical left wing groups.

Maybe some fringe elements of Obama's buddy, former terrorist, and America hater, William Ayers?

Maybe friends of the black pansies who tried to intimidate voters at the polls with nightsticks?

I have seen the tactics of the left many times, they play dirty pool and are masters at grade school evil pranks so with the lamestream media at their disposal, they can get away with whatever dirty tricks they can muster all the while ignoring any and all common sense , respectable people who may be asking hard questions at these meetings.

You know like veterans, old people, old veterans, small business owners, doctors who did not go to medical school to become government employees.
Nurses who did not go to school to become government employees.
How about those people?
How about the people who have read the bill that are not happy with the threats to their freedoms in the ever so long report?

Now the AFL-CIO has been hired by the Obama camp to further divide the nation and quite possibly spark civil unrest.

belive it or not I agree with you, I don't want to silence anyone only to have a real conversation about something not to yell....yelling accomplishes nothing. I wish that many things would be able to rise above politics as well. I don't think it will happen that the deomocratic party will rise above but one can hope.

That could be interesting.

It would be illegal if dues monies were used for partisan purposes.
