Court Puts MS Word Sales on Hold

The judge said the ruling applies to Word 2003 and Word 2007.

np - you can still download openoffice.org =)

I wonder how much of the cost of a copy of MS Office pays for MS's legal defense team? (MS should publish this number and make a public case...) I don't know how many lawsuits are just or not...But I guess thats just the cost of doing business in thier market (unless you want to try to "reform" the legal system....which I'm not sure would work better either.

First thing I did when buying a new machine was to delete Office 2007!
OO 3.1 is free and just as good if not better...

Agreed, OO is pretty sweet. Office 2007 is a mystery to me - most unintuitive interface I have ever seen in a group of programs, happily complimenting that of Windows Vista.

Btw, everyone is all upset about health insurance execs getting paid...how about Microsoft

Yep. Office 07 is moronically misdesigned. Incredible to think people actually go paid to develop that mess. OO for me all the way.
