1956 300C Adenauer on eBay

This car is really tempting. I assume it will go back to Germany with the dollar being what it is.

Yes that is a beauty - Seller appears to have his stuff together as well.

That's a beauty!

Thanks for sharing this inviting beauty with us. I wonder if the big "D" on the trunk signifies that this car started life as a diesel.

No, I forget what the D ment back than but the 300 was never a diesel.

One of the neat things about this car is the fact these are not just "pretty up" pictures for the sale. If you look at the two or three rear shots you'll notice the expiration date sticker on the license plate changes. The sticker in the rear window also sun fades from shot to shot. The "300" appears to be missing from one shot, possibly due to removal for polishing. This one is somebody's baby and they have been driving and loving it.:)

Yeah, its an enthusiast owned car. If your looking for a driver Adenauer this would be the one to buy.

Nice. Makes a W123 look like a POS.

Fulcrum525 08-13-2009 09:24 PM

How about one with some history?

I would think it means "Deutschland". I know the modern stickers have "DE" on them but maybe it was different back then.
