I like my Logitiech, just a cheaper wireless keyboard and optical mouse.
Be forewarned though the mouse eats batteries, strangely 3 or 4 to one to the keyboard.

I have had a standard logitech wireless mouse for about 7 years now....it has yet to break. I use rechargeable NiMH batteries in it and a charged set lasts me about 3-4 weeks of heavy use. (I am a very heavy user) A set of alkalines last longer due to maintaining a higher voltage (rechargeable only start at 1.2 volt) a little longer....not worth the cost though.
I'd go with a Logitech mouse, either wired or wireless, both are excellent. Microsoft makes nice mice too. A wireless keyboard is kinda pointless for most applications. They use batteries at a much slower rate because they lack an imaging sensor and LED/Laser....and are not used as steadily as a mouse.

I too have a Logitech wireless mouse. I always shut my mouse off when not in use and the batteries last about six months.I have the VX60.
I am on the computer 10 to 12 hours a day for work.

I use an HP wireless one for the laptop when doing autocad- its not full sized, but not so tiny that my fingers cramp trying to hang onto it. The USB antenna thing stores in the bottom for travel.

I have an MX-Laser mouse by Logitech. It is about 6yrs. old and is giving me trouble.I just thought there were more improved mice out there made by other Co's. I love this one[when it is working] because it has a recharge station [no batteries]. The new Logitech VX nano seems to be very Hi-tech.The MX may be better for me.The problem i am having is the curser stops or just does not come on screen.I must press the reset button on the back of the mouse. From all of your reply's,it seems Logitech is still the best.Sorry i can't fix my spelling because the mouse just stopped working.

I love my Logitech. I don't find that they eat batteries either, maybe once or twice a year I have to change them.

Mice and keyboard recommendations are like asking what pair of jeans you should buy.
