Just like the title says: yes or no. Please no arguing or Chicago style voting. 1 vote per person!

Frankly, I have no complaints about how I've gotten by.....and I have racked up plenty of medical expenses over the past 20 years.:o

Is this a vote on the current reform being proposed by Obama/Congress or reform in general? It's hard to believe anyone would not want to change a single thing about the current system. I already voted yes because either way my answer is the same, but it might make a difference to others.

I just figured out how to view who voted how(kinda like cardcheck!) and I somehow voted yes. Obviously this was not my intention so minus 1 from yes and add 1 to no.

Good question. I assumed that the question was whether I was in favor of the plan currently being pitched by the Obama administration, so I voted no. Of course there are things I would change about the health care system, but not the way the Dems are trying to do it.

Yes- This is for the current Obama administration proposed healthcare reform bill. I believe it is oficially called HR 3200.

Have you even researched or noticed how fast the private health care costs are rising? At the rates they are going....most private companies will probably NOT give anyone insurance due to the insurmountable expense.....and then, it will be too expensive for you to buy on your own either. Then you have none, and most people would have none....and the industry would collapse on itself...not a bright outlook.

With competition from the government, it would keep all of the costs in check. Just like UPS competing with USPS. No competition = prices rising uncontrolled.

Europeans have private health coverage options if they so choose or want to pay for it, but those private offerings must be relatively competitive with the government option in order to have anyone partake....

Private health care is an evil system anyways, profiting off of the sick? What could possibly justify that being ok?

How is it different than those evil farmers profiting from hungry people? Or evil builders profiting off people who want shelter? How about the evil auto repair industry profiting off those who want transportation? How about the evil apparel industry profiting off the naked? How about the evil entertainment industry profiting from the bored and unimaginative? Or the evil energy industry profiting off those who are cold, in the dark, to lazy to walk? Oh yeah, how about the evil IT industry profiting of all those who fail to master networked computing? What could possibly justify all that being ok?

It's very different because there is competition and many choices. Not so with healthcare unless you consider sick, dead or bankrupt a choice.
