I'm Baaack!!!!
Wow, seems like forever. After my return to So Cal I was stuck on a shift that did not allow me to have hardly any computer time...left for the station at 0700 and wouldn't get home until 2300 most nights. Sorta sucked.
I've now moved back to a more normal shift, with more normal shift hours. Hoping this will hold out for a while and I'll be able to get back in the mix here and get to know all of the new folks around here. For whats its worth, the system still remembered me and even sent me a birthday message last week. I guess I have a lot of reading to do.

Good Lord, Mike, I can't believe you're back!
Last I remember, you had taken a post up in Michigan, or somewhere near the Canadian border, and you had bought a house on the cheap that you were fixing up. Do you still live in Temecula? I only see the 280 in your signature. What happened to the 560 SEL?

Jeff, Paul yep, I'm still alive.
Paul, I was living and working not too far from Jeff. Spent three years there and commuted home to the family once a month. But family dictated that I come back to So Cal and the Station I drew on my return is a 130 mile round trip gig, better than the 3,000 mile commute I had in Michigan (MI to CA and back). I did buy a cheap fixer upper house, did all the work and managed to sell for a small profit. That is in and of itself a huge deal in Michigan as the bottom started falling out just before I left. Got the house sold in under three months too, nearly record time for the area. The 560 started giving problems up there. No garage and my tools were still here. I opted to donate the 560 to the Purple Heart Vets and bought a cheap little commuter Honda. Have put 100K on it with my daily commute and it still chugging along. Fully expect to exceed 300K on it, but it sure as heck is uncomfortable . I drive the 280 to work once and a while, just to keep the legs stretched.
