Bummer.

Make that 39 people and 27 MBs. Somebody else just told me they're still coming but they have to bring their Honda Fit.

I back, and here. I'll be at the range this weekend getting ready for the biggest pistol match of the year.

My slice of Califastlan felt like it was in your slice this last weekend...110F in the shade and 113+F on the range. Stay cool.

YES, first day of school!

Not only will the wife be more pleasant when I get home for lunch but all of her excuses have gone back to school. (ducking!)

Niece's wedding on the 12th. Her fiancee' and I spent all summer building a covered courtyard/atrium for the service. Of course, it had to be a year of record heat!

Annual all night "Duck Roast" party on the 26th. It takes a week of preparation and usually three days afterward for the liver swelling to subside. I open the bar at 7:00 pm and close it at 5:00 am. "Duck Breakfast" (Bloody Mary's) is served at 6:30 am so I don't get a whole lot of rest!

I might skip "Duck Breakfast" this year and just go home (I don't drink whilst bartending). Yeah, well I said, "might"!
