What is your favorite adult beverage?

Personally I like beer, if there was no beer I don't think I would drink much at all.

I like adult beverages in the order you placed them in your poll.

EDIT: Whoops. Swap the last two. I like margaritas on the rocks with 1/2 salt rim better than other mixed drinks.

Beer, by far... especially after a TDY to Europe on a tanker (which frequently = pallet space for, oh, 3-5 cases of beer). I'm way down on consumption from the college years, though; I'm content with one beer most of the time. If I'm grilling out with friends, maybe I'll finish off 2 or 3, but that's very rare. This works out well, though, as now I can justify the good stuff and not settle for the swill.

For me, it depends on the setting.

General drinking ...beer.
Waiting for or at a lunch or dinner..wine.
Occasional spirits....vodka & JD

I burned thru a Gin phase by age 22 (or did it burn thru me?). Then went into a Scotch phase from 25 to 35. I don't think I've had either Gin or Scotch in, oh, the last 15 years.

Yo, Med. Lift one or two for me on this 19 anniversary of my quintuple by-pass surgery (9/3/91), a day which will live in infamy.(at least as far as my ex is concerned)
Hallelujah!

Lately, I've been sampling the $6-$8 bottles of wine and have been pleasantly surprised with "Barefoot" wines.

I only spring for a $15 + bottle when I make a premium cut of meat for dinner. One of my favorites right now is "Toasted Head" Merlot.

I like a really cold beer every now and then, but my all-purpose drink is Wild Turkey 101 on the rocks.

I don't understand why Europeans drink warm beer. That's not right.

Barefoot is a very good value brand, I've enjoyed their wines more than once . Same goes for Toasted Head, although I prefer their Zin. If you get a chance, try some Gnarly Head old vine zin (or Twisted Head too), some very good wine and not too expensive.

Pilsner Urquel is my drink of choice. I have been known to slip into an Absolute Vodka gimlet mood and in the summer time I'm very partial to a picture of a real Sangria mix. Of course, summer in Az is about 9 months long...

Gnarly Head makes my favorite Chardonnay. Very peppery.
