HED bike wheels are made in USA. One of the best.

Most Stihl products sold in the US are made in Virginia Beach. The higher end commercial products are made in Germany. You can bet that a job with Stihl USA is a highly coveted position.

Let's see... since the house was built in 1824 and I have furnished it with lots of old junk we have

2 original Bell System phones one candlestick and one wall phone with the crank

1 1930's Zenith console radio

1 1940's RCA table radio

New Amish made furniture (dining room and bedroom sets)

Lots of Craftsman tools

Vintage 1920's ceiling fixtures

One 1974 Jeep CJ 5 from Toledo,Ohio

One 1999 Chevy from Janesville, Wi

Vintage 1970's Marantz audio equipment

Vintage 1980's Fisher CD player and speakers

The rest is from Germany, Japan, Korea, or Taiwan. I really HATE buying things from (Red) China...

Hate to break it to you, but the Marantz stuff was probably made in Japan (Superscope). By the 70's, I think all of it was -- though some was still designed here.

BTW, your house sounds pretty cool! Ours is an "oldie but goodie" too -- built like the proverbial brick *****house.

Love that vintage late 70's Marantz stuff (2285B, 3650 pre, trying to aquire 300DC Amp & 2130 tuner), Unfortunately, for this thread, it was all built in Japan. If you want Made in USA go Krell, Vandersteen, McIntosh and several others that escape my memory at the moment.

Or pick up a pair of Marantz 9's or an 8b.

I don't think most VS stuff has been "Made in US" for quite sometime.

My random personal list from around the house:

C.F. Martin
All Clad pans
Lodge Skillets and Dutch Oven
Sofas/Chairs by Mitchell Gold
MagLite flashlights
Post-It Notes

It would be interesting to be able to do a side by side listening comparison with a fully restored Marantz tube Amp vs something like a new McIntosh MC252 or something similar. Or even a pair of new MC75 tube monoblocks.

I've listened to the MC275 reissue; very impressive. Wish I could afford one! I'd settle for a nice MC225, though; my speakers are plenty efficient for one.

Good call. if we get to go into the garage, I've got a Dixon mower, a Cub Cadet tractor with snow blade, lotsa Craftsman tools, a Raleigh USA road bike, a Specialized road bike, and a nice old oak desk that I use as a work bench, among other things. Oh, how 'bout a 7-foot toboggan?

Oh Yeah..the garage. I have Klein mountain bike I purchased back in 1992. It must have 10,000 miles on it by now and is still as solid as the day I bought it. The frame, bottom bracket, handle bars (klein mission control) crank arms (Cook brothers racing), wheels all made in USA. All the gearing stuff is Shimano though. Got a ton of Craftsman tools and a Craftsman lawn mower.

Which is about as American as you are likely to find on the roads these days.

Oh yeah, I have a Trek 720 frame hanging in the garage and just built up a Trek 750 frame for a friend.
