Yeah
That would be my guess, too. MG or AH
(You can tell it was manufactured in the UK from the lack of Rust!)

I think Kerry is correct. Not an AH, MG or Triumph and I seem to recall that the Sunbeams did have the reverse opening hoods. Possibly an Alpine, but not a Tiger

Agee partially.
Sunbeam Alpine, the Tiger was the version with a 289 stuffed under the hood. You changed the rear sparkplus from inside the car, via a panel in the firewall.

Kerry is Right. Sunbeam Tiger is right. This car has a V8 . Did you know it was made by the Roots Group in England sold by Chyrsler and powerd by Ford. Carrol Shelby did the set up to put v8 fords in the cars 65,66 had 260 and 67 had 289, i have 3 of the , fast and fun Only about 7,000 were made from 65 to 67.

Tony says "Tigers were ggrrrreeeat!"
Not only did the Tiger have a much superior engine, it had rack and pinion steering instead of the Rube Goldberg arrangement that the Alpine had.
The centerlink on the Alpine went over the back of the engine. The Tiger also had real shock absorber on the back instead of the Armstrong lever shocks that my Alpine had. I had loads of fun trying to find suspension parts for my Alpine. Only the '67 was a Chrysler product. Rootes Group was independent through 1966.

Chrysler discontinued it shortly after buying sunbeam. Their small v8 was a lot wider and heavier and simply wouldn't fit in the tight confines of the unibody sunbeam. It used to be on my bucket list but I have gotten over it.

I recognized it immediately, if you grew up in the 60's they were all over the place. They would blow the doors off any Triumph or MG, but I used to swallow them up with my Austin Healy 3000 and poop them out on the highway.
