I play the piano too. Took lessons for a million years, then spent a year in my high school jazz band, which is where i discovered why it was so important to learn how to count. Tried to pick up the guitar a couple years ago, but could never find the time.

I'm a pretty darn good whistler. Uh... I hope that doesn't make me a Blower, though.

My tunes are usually accompanied by percussion being the fingers of my left hand tapping constantly! I think it's in the genes; my father was exactly the same way-- always either whistling, tapping, or both.

Used to play classical piano in an earlier life. Got sick of it and quit. BIB regret now. If I had taken jazz piano I'm sure I would have stuck it out. Next I'll take up the guitar. (After college goal that is still apparently years in the making.)

Here's a pic of my concert guitar. It's a pretty bad pic. It's a 1992 Greg Brandt. European Spruce/Indian Rosewood back and sides. I'm going to sell it in about a year.

I stopped playing after high school, but I played the French Horn in Jr. high and high school.

'one time, at band camp'.........

EDIT: Plus, I was in the handbell choir at church back in the late 70's. We even played at the White House for Jimmy Carter

I played piano, took lessons since I was 5, quitted about 5 years ago... still play a lil, I played upright bass in the school orchestra last year, played electric bass the year before in the jazz band, I was in the pit in marching band freshman and sophomore year [that's percussion; marimba, xylophone, bells, vibraphone, gongs, etc.] and that's about it. As far as insturments I own, I have a 1930's upright bass, a baldwin hand made electric bass [dad gave it to me], a fender 100W amp, and my parents have an electric piano downstairs.

Played guitar many moons ago. Took lessons from 5th grade up into junior high some time. Played off and on for several more years. Haven't touched it for years. Still have my old Vox electric though. May be worth something by now. My folks bought it for me in 1967. Neck isn't warped yet. Geeze, maybe I need to dig it out and see if I remember anything.....

I play piano.. sort of jazzy I guess.

I'm currently learning many of Ben Folds (five)'s tracks.
I Also played violin until around 5 years ago.

later!

Russ

P.S. listen to Mikemovers band Doubledrive, if you like rock.
