off to the hospital...

Something has been attacking my body since early Aug. I've seen a general doctor and four other doctors and had many tests. Blood cultures were taken Monday by a infectious doctor and he called me today and said check in we have alot more tests to do. He said I'll have IV therapy for quite some time. We first have to eliminate my heart issues as I have a artificial mitral valve and another valve was repaired back in '04. I do not know when I'll be out, but I hope the hospital has wireless for my notebook.

I hope they get you sorted out. I know what it's like... test, test, test.

Stay on top of 'em. It's easy to get lost in the shuffle of patients.

Well I have good news- I have wireless in the room. Tomorrow I have a Trans-Esphogeal (SP?) echo-cardiogram to help determine if I have endocarditis- an infection of the heart. I feel okay other than the changing symptoms I've had since Aug. Maybe Lime disease? I'm gonna be checking web MD in an attempt to outguess the docs. I bet my nurse on my blood pressure and got within one point- 112 over 75. I said 112 over 74. Small victories. For some strange reason I'm usually in a great mood when I come into a hospital- and this time is no different. I made most everyone smile during my stays for MRSA and valve replacement, and I have all the nurses laughing when they enter room 357. Earlier in the day and last week I thought I was going in for more open heart work, but that seems remote now. I hope it seems remote tomorrow also. If they cannot figure out what I have here I'm headed to the Cleveland Clinic in Weston. Thanks for the wishes and prayers- I hope I don't need them but I and my family are grateful. PPSF is like family- even and especially those I get into heated discussion with.
William

Best wishes.
Nurses joke if you have the gumption to tell them:

Nurse comes into the break room. "Has anyone bathed the patient in Rm 5? He has a tattoo on his penis that says ForTiny"
Reply, "That's odd, when I was bathing him it said Fort Ticonderoga New York"
