It's like someone emptied the entire contents of a Chinese Buffet restaurant into a Sprinter

I feel like chipping in an extra $5 so they can hire a better looking model

IOW this is someone warning us about Becker Automotive Design?

okyoureabeast 12-29-2009 02:48 PM

Weren't the US spec Sprinters branded as dodges?

if i had 275K I wouldnt Dump it into a car, even if it's one of a kind...It's very nice however

It's a little too shiny for my liking. It's lik those class A motor homes with mirrors on the ceiling. I want to be able to sit in it with shorts and a t"shirt and not feel like i am under dressed in my own vehicle.

Now of course none of this applies to this vehicle.

Daimler Vans USA now sells/services the Sprinter in the US

Diesel4me 12-29-2009 04:30 PM

Lol the Maybach has class because it's fridge is not in the restroom.

Pass. I'd rather have a mildly-customized one dressed up for practicality and save myself $150k. When writing the check for the Becker Van, you must remember that it's simply a Dodge for which you just coughed up a quarter-mil $$. Sucker.

That sucks! All that money, and I can't even get it in a stick shift.....Sheesh!

Fulcrum525 12-30-2009 11:22 AM

The Becker van is overpriced to a very high degree. They have some nice little touches but $275,000 is absolutely ridiculous and I bet that didn't include the original price of the van. Also all that money and they left the cockpit completely stock? WTF??? I've looked into them before and they only offer two advantages over the competition....but it will cost you of course. The first is that they do offer rear suspension upgrade for smoother ride and they will install an automatic closing side door...the motors of which they lifted off a Ford minivan.

Go for a Midwest automotive designed Sprinter. Depending on specifications it will cost at the absolute most $100,000 and that's with the original van price included. I've been in one before and been to their production facility. I think the rear parabolic springs give a very good ride for passengers and it was surprisingly quiet. They would be fine even on very long trips.

Is that Kris Kristofferson?

truckinik 12-30-2009 09:48 PM

So, what's wrong with a nice Ford E-350, Extended cargo van, with a cott in the back and a power inverter, a 5 gallon bucket with toilet seat bolted to it and trash bag insert....? That, and a few gallons of poland spring water, and a Sterno, or hot plate, and you can go anywhere you want..
