Second Cross Country Trip: Photos

I chose to take my newest acquisition, the Excelsior A, and its been a blast.

I'm following the same route as last year, with the exception of dropping down to San Diego then coming up the So Cal for the weekend. Right now I'm in Vegas. Saw the Beatles "Love" show last night, then today went to the "Gold and Silver" pawn shop that is featured on the hit TV show pawn stars. The old man was at his desk.

I replicated a few photos from last year.
Edwards, Colorado: 2009 & 2010

Black Dragon Canyon 2009 & 2010

"Welcome to Las Vegas" sign: 2009 & 2010

I also made my way to the Imperial Palace showroom which had an amazing inventory last year, including a 300SL gullwing. I was suprised to see a near 100% turnover; very few of the same cars I saw last year were still around.

Here were the benzes:

It would have been cool if you could have visited the pwan shop where they film Pawn Stars.

Yes, almost all the cars in the showroom are for sale. Only some are just for display only. As for mine, everything is for sale for the right price.

Yes CLK man, it was THE pawn shop we went to. The exact same one in pawn stars. The old man looked to have popped in after Sunday church, wearing a black shirt and silver tie.

Very cool pics as always! Did you see my Buddy John working in the pawn shop? Short guy, bald with a beard/moustache.

Was my main man Chumley there?

Did not see the guy, Kar Tek.

CLKman: Do you honestly think Chumlee would come to work on a Sunday? Only the old man was there and half a dozen other workers. I tried to go there yesterday afternoon but there was a line half way out the building. I looked like a night club, bouncer looking guy at the door and all.

Of course I would assume everything you have is for sale!

I just got back from my trip this evening and the Excelsior performed fantastically.

I made my way from Vegas to California, stopping in Del Mar to relax on the beach a few days then back up to LA.

Of course, I had to make the mandatory stop at the classic center to drool on some things.
