Man that car is cool, I applaud the seller on his honesty in describing the vehicle.

Cool!

That's the first one I have ever seen without a hugish Hemi supercharged motor and huge slicks on the back.....sixties gasser wars!

For the money, I'd buy something else, like a 35 Chrysler AirFlow. Or a 40 Ford Doctor's coupe. Or a small Packard.

Looks like a nice car, I like the look better than the classic '34 ford 3 window. And yeesh, how much more complicated engines have gotten since then--the straight pipe to the radiator is nifty!

I love that era of vehicles and I really enjoy it when I see people restoring them to their original state. I hate it when people hot rod them up. It just destroys the classic look.

Oh, man....a 33/34 ford is hard to beat in the looks department!

These Willys are an aquired taste! (IMHO)

I don't know that I've seen more than a few that weren't hacked up, and that now includes the two in this thread.

He talks about the "crank hole" in his description.

Why would they have a crank hole that late?

I assume everything had electric starters at that point.

My dad had a '41 ford pick-up that still had a crank hole (if I remember correctly), just like motorcycles still had kick starters for a while after they were also equipped with electric starters.

Couldn't trust those fancy, new-fangled, citified electric starters to function all the time.

Back in '74, I bought a $50 '61 Hillman Minx convertible. It had a crank-hole, and a little widget in the engine pulley for the crank to engage. The actual crank was missing though.

Happy Motoring, Mark

Did it have a scissor jack? You sure the end of the jack handle didn't serve as the crank?

True. Also it was helpful turning the engine while doing repairs (many times on the roadside or driveway).
