I'll try and look into getting those programs onto my PC tomorrow. As for now, I'm going to bed.
Again, Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
Start windows in SAFE MODE and then download and run malwarebytes. Tyhat should work, it worked for me when it happened.

Or just go ask your dad to buy you a new PC because this one's dirty, lol.

* Safe mode fails, blue screen and reboot.
* Task Manager is locked out.
* REGEDIT is locked out.

Issue fixed by down loading MalwareBytes to a thumb drive, and installing it on the infected machine.

The AVG program that Powerpig installed on my computer is pretty good. It alerts you if something is wrong with a website or download.

I am surprised that no one mentioned Trend Micro's program named House Call. It is free and it identifies and cleans out all the bad-ware.

If it still persists there is always www.bleepingcomputer.com. This site has a lot of real computer experts who help folks in their spare time. You describe the program and wait a day or so. They will typically respond and give you directions to download and run a program which checks your computer and issues a report - in great detail. Then you send them the report and wait a day or two. They will get back to you, tell you what problem(s) you have, and tell you how to get rid of them.

I had a continuing problem of Task Manager showing 100% usage of my resources all the time, even when all I had open was the internet; this in turn made my desktop run as slow as molasses. Turned out that there was something wrong with my Activa card - this is a wireless card. They had me install only a portion of the Activa program from the card. Wireless and internet worked perfectly and the 100% usage problem went away.

Combofix will remove just about anything. With Malwarebytes in close second place. That said, if I ever had something on my PC, I'd just wipe it. Its all up to the biological unit behind the keyboard.

I've not had a single virus/spyware/malware on my PC, ever....and I do not run any anti-virus/security/malware programs at all. I just know what I am doing...as I'm a PC tech.

Well, like dad said, MalwareBytes was force fed into the computer, and now nothing's gotten into it. It's FIXED! Thanks guys, for all your help!

Question, though. Is MalwareBytes supposed to try and block any 'malicious IP' automatically? Half the things I look up on google don't load the first time I try it. ( I can still get it on the second try, but I'd like to know if it's an infection or not.)

That is not normal, the malware may have left behind bad keys or host file entries or something causing it to lag in loading pages. Often, even when "fixed" the operating system is never the same. That is why re-format/install is the best thing to do.

No, I work for an IT services company doing Corporate IT work. I deal with fixing this stuff on people's computers multiple times every day. In our environment, if the PC is real messed up, it is much more cost effective for both us, or the customer, to just wipe the machine.

That makes sense if your client's have a backup of all their files which I assume yours do.

Most do. Those that don't we do fix their PC....and bill them accordingly.

I don't think wiping their drive is "fixing" if they lose their data. Please send those to me as one of my specialties is forensic data recovery.
